The modern organization cannot risk allowing supervisors to develop by chance. If the pressures and demands are real, there must be a concerted conscious effort made to cultivate successful supervisory practices. There has been extensive research conducted to support these concerns. The results of a study by Blake Lewis regarding the future directions for the supervisory role led to the general conclusion that supervisor’s belief their job in the future will require the existence of an individual who is more of a leader and teacher than the traditional industrial policeman. The future would require that the supervisor concentrate on the people side of the organization as opposed to machines.


By end of this development program the supervisor should be able to; understand his/her larger role in the organization; re-look in the managing of other people in the areas of planning, implementation and control. Moving up the ladder the supervisor should be aware of the developing changes which is happening in the organization and the environment and should response to the call of the organization to move to second level leadership

The program will be conducted in an interactive approach employing mini lectures, case studies, group discussions, group & individual assignments and presentation to class.

Participants will prepare and present topics provided by facilitators by conducting mini action research at the workplace and presenting the findings to the class.

These research, findings and presentation will be assessed through a competency frame work of each modules, which will be provided by the facilitator.

The provider will compile all the assessment and provide a summary to the organization on each participant for future career planning.

The assessment is based on 100% work based assignment.


To complete the program, all participants should complete all modules which will be conducted on a 2 day workshop basis at the organization’s workplace or at our center, classess will be run on weeknights or weekends


At the end of the program participant will receive a competency certificate from the organization/provider and /or a university (optional)
